Hi all,
I am happy to announce we have released an update to our Insteon Lighting mobile app. You will notice we have renamed the app to Insteon Director. We felt a name change was important since Insteon products are more than just “Lighting”.
Since there has not been an app update in several years, this release is focused on addressing a few key issues that have existed since the last release of the Insteon Lighting app, most notably:
Fixed times and days shifting within Schedules. If you’ve noticed that that Schedules are not running as expected, you may need to delete and re-create the Schedule
Fixed issue where local programming lock was inadvertently applied when a sensor is added in the app
Updated the underlying software framework to ensure greater compatibility with mobile devices
Additionally, the Director app adds:
In-app verification of an active Hub subscription.
Device tile resizer
Improved push notification system. NOTE: If you have notifications turned on, you will need to re-open the app after updating to Insteon Director. You will get not receive push notifications until this is done
If you had Insteon Lighting already downloaded, your app should have automatically updated to Insteon Director unless the update feature has been turned off.
I hope you all feel the momentum we are feeling right now. Product is hitting the store, the updated app, and our response times for support tickets getting to where we want them to be.
Thanks,
Ken
