Identify your Insteon Hub Version

There are several versions of the Insteon Hub. Use this article to properly identify your model of Insteon Hub.

Insteon Hub 2 (2245-222)

This Hub is about 4" square and was released in late 2014 with a model number of 2245-222.

This Insteon Hub works with Insteon Director on iOS and Android. It also works with an older app version called Insteon for Hub App on iOS and Android. This older app is not maintained.

Insteon Hub (2242-xxx) Rev 2

This Hub is rectangular, about 7" wide and 4" deep and was released in early 2013 with model numbers of 2242-xxx. This model carries a revision of 1.3 or later. This model has been discontinued and replaced by Insteon Hub 2 (2245-xxx).

Insteon Hub (2242-xxx) Rev 1

This Hub is rectangular, about 7" wide and 4" deep and was released in mid 2012 with a model number of 2242-222. This model carries a revision prior to 1.3. This Insteon Hub has been discontinued and replaced by Insteon Hub 2 (2245-xxx).

These Insteon Hubs work with the Insteon for Hub App on iOS and Android.

Insteon HomeKit-enabled Bridge

This Hub is rectangular, about 7" wide and 4" deep and was released in mid 2015 with a model number of 2243-222. Unique to this Insteon Hub are two USB2 ports on the rear panel. Insteon HomeKit-enabled Bridge may also be labeled Insteon Hub Pro.

This product has been discontinued.

SmartLinc

This Hub was about 2.5" wide and 4" tall and was released in 2011 with a model number of 2412N. This Hub was also released in Canada as "Insteon Hub" and later versions were released as "SmartLinc with Alerts." This Insteon Hub has been discontinued.
